Revealed in Makkah, Surah Al-Falaq (The Daybreak) is the first of the two chapters of protection (*Al-Mu'awwidhatayn*). It commands the believers to seek refuge with the Lord of the daybreak from the evils of creation, from the darkness of night when it settles, from the evil of those who practice magic (blowers in knots), and from the destructive evil of an envious person when they envy.
