Revealed in Makkah when the pagan leaders offered a compromise to worship the Prophet's God for a year if he worshiped their idols for a year, Surah Al-Kafirun (The Disbelievers) establishes an absolute boundary of faith. It commands the Prophet to declare that there can be no compromise in worship, concluding with the famous statement: 'For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.'
