At the Islamic Studies Platform, we prioritize the privacy and security of our students. This policy documents how we collect, process, and safeguard your data to support your learning journey.

2. Consent

By using our website or mobile application, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or provide personal information to the application.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information that you directly provide to us, as well as data automatically generated through your use of the application:

  • Account Authentication Details: When you register or sign in, we store your Email Address and Password securely. For users logging in via Google OAuth, we receive your Google ID, email address, name, and profile picture URL.
  • Learning Progress Data: To save your progress across devices, we record which chapters, lessons, sections, Quranic verses, and Hadiths you complete, along with your active study streak.
  • Saved Content: We store your bookmarks and private study notes so that they are accessible only to you.
  • Log Files & Technical Identifiers: Basic technical identifiers like your IP address, browser headers, and login timestamps are securely handled by our hosting and authentication provider (Supabase) to prevent malicious activity and authenticate API requests.

4. How We Use Your Information

The data collected is exclusively used to deliver core application services:

  • To synchronize your curriculum and reading progress seamlessly across web and mobile.
  • To compile streak stats and progress percentages visible on your dashboard.
  • To handle security verifications and account recovery.
  • To process error reports and feedback you submit.

5. Third-Party Infrastructure Providers

We do not sell or lease user data to third-party marketers or advertisers. We share information only with service providers required to host and run our database systems:

  • Supabase: Our database and auth system is built on Supabase. Supabase complies with industry data security certifications and acts as a processor to store data securely.
  • Google Identity: Used for secure single-sign-on (SSO). The integration complies with Google APIs OAuth policy.

6. Data Deletion & Account Erasure

In compliance with Google Play Store data safety requirements, we provide comprehensive options for users to delete their personal records:

  • Instant Self-Service Data Deletion: You can completely erase all your learning progress, streak info, notes, and bookmarks directly in the app. Go to Settings > Danger Zone > click Delete Data. This action is instantaneous and irreversible.
  • Complete Account Erasure: If you wish to delete your login profile entirely from our authentication directory, send an email to ashu9105628720@gmail.com with your registered email address. We will verify and erase your record within 7 business days.

7. Children's Privacy

The platform is targeted at students seeking Islamic curriculum knowledge. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe your child has submitted personal info, contact us at ashu9105628720@gmail.com and we will remove the records immediately.

8. Security Measures

We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies in Supabase to ensure that only authenticated owners can access or edit bookmarks and notes. While we strive to protect your data using industry-standard protocols, no web transition is entirely immune to error, so we advise maintaining security updates on your local device.
